Image Consultation

Image consultation is designed to put together your work in a creative sequence that enhances the viewers experience. This may mean spending time reviewing the possible images, or it could mean designing the viewing experience by specific image placement. Whatever the need we can complete the task with professionalism and superior quality.

Proof Prints

Proof prints are used to check for color accuracy, artifacts and other defects before large prints are made. This reduces errors in printing and gives you the opportunity to change the image before final printing takes place. Editors and publishers use proof prints to make selections from a large number of photographs prior to including them in their publication. We only do proof prints on images that will be printed in a larger size.

Black & White Prints

Black & white printing requires a very different approach when printing. Much of the success of the print is due to the original image and the capture method. If film is your medium of choice we can scan your negatives for optimal printing. If digital is your capoture method then it may be necessary for us to sit together for awhile to learn how you would like to have the final print made.

Portfolio Prints

Since the portfolio is usually the culmination of a great deal of work it's important for us to meet with you and discuss the details of how you would like your work presented. There are many methods of producing portfolios, each has a specific way of printing and compiling. Archival methodsand materials can be used, as well as book preparation, and large print portfolios. Please call and discuss your preferences.

Visual Inspection

Inspecting your images before they get to the printing process is all important. Many mistakes can be avoided by looking for scratches, spots, dust and other artifacts. A final print without defects is job one.

Make sure your file or image is large enough to print well at the size you need. For help in determining whether or not your file qualifies for larger printing call us, we will be happy to discuss the details.
